I filmed a short trip I took from Newmarket to Orangeville, Ontario. This trip took me across York Regional Road 31 (Davis Drive) and Ontario Highway 9, driving through Newmarket, King, & Schomberg in York Region, Claedon in Peel Region, and Mono & Orangeville in Dufferin County. Ontario Highway 9 also forms the boundary with Simcoe County. Some fall colours are also visible, but were well past their peak at the time of filming. I started filming from a carpool lot at Highway 404. Public transit is available at this location from GO Transit (67 Keswick-North York), York Region Transit (55 Davis and Viva Yellow), and Durham Region Transit (960 Newmarket/Uxbridge). (00:00) Entering the downtown core, there are bus lanes (known as Rapidway) along the center of Davis Dr. (00:46) I pass an electric bus on Route 55, 1911 is a 2019 New Flyer XE40. (01:16) A brand new Novabus LFSe, 1922, was also found on a training trip leaving the Newmarket Bus Terminal. (2:28) The intersection at Davis Dr and Bathurst St was reconstructed in summer 2019. It now has double left turn lanes turning from eastbound Davis to northbound Bathurst, and from northbound Bathurst to westbound Davis. (03:03) Regional Road 31 ends and Ontario Highway 9 begins just east of Highway 400. (08:22) Ontario Highway 9 enters the town of Schomberg, approaching Regional Road 27. (05:33) Ontario Highway 9 crosses into Peel Region at the Caledon King Townline. Regional Road 50 connects it to Brampton and Toronto. (07:00) Ontario Highway 9 enters Dufferin County and the Town of Mono east of Airport Rd. (10:00) This segment of Ontario Highway 9 ends at Highway 10, the east end of Orangeville. It is discontinuous for approximately 66km, starting up again in the Town of Minto, continuing to Kincardine. (12:20) Thanks for watching! Like and subscribe for more videos.
