On March 1, 2014 the Betty Howls show, on CILU radio, had three wonderful women from the Thunder Bay community come on the show to talk about, International Women's Day, art, Definitely Superior Art Gallery, Sophia Wallace and Cliteracy. Lora Northway from Definitely Superior Art Gallery, Elizabeth Buset, local artist and art Educator, and Jayal from Lakehead University's Gender Issues Centre, came together to tell listeners about the plan to open conversation up about a topic we as women are taught from a young age to feel shameful about, our bodies, our sexuality, our Clitoris. Sophia Wallace, Internationally known artist seeks to break down the barrier of ignorance surrounding the Clitoris with her exhibition Cliteracy, which shows for the first time in Canada. This exhibition opens on International Women s Day at Definitely Superior Art Gallery in Thunder Bay Ontario on March 8, 2014. March 1 was one of two special shows Betty Howls planned for LU Radio's Fund Drive 2014. Enjoy the interview.
