If the way parents treat their children affects the way they “turn out” and if parents treat their children differently depending on where they fall in the birth order, then birth order affects your personality. That’s why a siblings can have different views about how things were growing up. And that perceived reality affects how we feel about ourselves and how we relate to others. This session will focus on last born or baby, the ones never displaced by a newborn. In this session we will look at three last born children from the Old Testament – Gideon, David, and Moses. We will look at strengths and weaknesses in each. You may see characteristics in these characters that you can identify with in yourself or your own siblings. But know this, you do not have to live out negative stereotypes about birth order and personalities. God can and will help you strengthen and overcome your weaknesses.
