Stop Scrolling: A Gospel Warning

This is not entertainment. This is a warning and an invitation. You are not promised tomorrow. One day, you will stand before God and give an account for your life. The Bible says, "It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment." (Hebrews 9:27) Many people say "I'm a good person" — but good compared to who? God doesn't grade on a curve. He compares you to His perfect holiness. Have you ever lied? Used God's name carelessly? Looked with lust? Burned with hatred? Jesus said lust is adultery of the heart, and hatred is the root of murder. You don't need a thousand crimes to be guilty — one is enough. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) If God is truly good, He must be just. And if He judges evil in the world, He must also judge the evil in our hearts. So what will you do with your sin? Religion can't remove it. Morality can't erase it. Distraction can't silence it. Because guilt isn't just a feeling — it's a reality before a holy God. "The wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23) But here is the shocking truth of the Gospel: God did not leave you to perish. Jesus Christ came as the Lamb of God — the perfect substitute for sinners. He lived without sin, then went to the cross on purpose. Not as a tragedy, but as a sacrifice. On that cross, God's justice and mercy met. Sin was punished fully so sinners could be forgiven freely. "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21) And Jesus didn't stay dead. He rose again. The tomb is empty. The King is alive. This is not about trying harder. This is not about cleaning yourself up first. The Gospel is: God saves dead people. REPENT — Stop defending your sin. Turn from it. Confess it. BELIEVE — Trust in Jesus alone. His blood. His resurrection. His Lordship. Not Jesus plus your effort. Jesus alone. "For by grace you have been saved through faith... not of works." (Ephesians 2:8-9) If your heart is pounding right now, don't ignore it. That's mercy. That's God calling you. Pray this if you mean it: "God, I have sinned against You. I cannot save myself. Jesus, I believe You died for sinners and rose again. Forgive me. Wash me. Change me. I surrender to You as Lord. Amen." Now take a step: Read the Gospel of John. Tell a mature Christian.
