This is a cheap way to keep your dogs out of the front seat. It costs around $30 to make for the barrier itself. In this video I also used a $40 rubber mat for the floor. All other options I could find for a pet barrier is a few hundred dollar premade ones that look like they are less sturdy then this PVP one. I also saw some made from a thin umbrella material with some mesh. That would not keep my 3 giant dogs out of the front seat. This is the second one I have made. The other one was made a few years ago and I stilll use it today in another vehicle. You can make them custom or pretty universal. Be sure to sand it with about 60-80 grit or the primer and paint just will not stick well. Even sanded pretty good it will get scratched up some, but there is no need for it to look showroom quality.
