This ride started early in the morning, wrapped in cold air and thick fog. I left Pune before sunrise, riding through empty roads, freezing temperatures, and rough off-road stretches — not knowing what the end would look like. I didn’t get to see Panshet Dam itself, but what I found instead was something quieter and more peaceful — the Panshet backwaters, layered fog, silence, and that moment when the sun finally broke through. There were moments of waiting, numb hands, tea breaks to warm up, and long stretches where I didn’t see a single person.
