#24 Boat ride from Vilanova de Arousa to Pontecesures!

15th October on the Camino Portugués 😇 One of the big draws for me to do the spiritual route on the Camino was the boat ride from Vilanova de Arousa to Pontecesures. Which is about 2.5 k from Padrón. 🚤 the boat takes you along the maritime Translation route, which passes mussel farms, multiple stone crosses and the ruins of Torres de Oeste. The boat held 15/16 pilgrims and left at 8.30 am from the port, which was about a 7 min walk from the albergue where I stayed. 💰 Tickets were €19 and needed to be bought the day before. The captain spoke Spanish and English and shared more about what we were seeing during the journey. ☕️ Half way through, they brought out hot tea and coffee and mini croissants for breakfast, which I though was really kind of them. I do love travelling by boat and it was great to mix it up a bit. The journey took about 1hr 20/30mins and we arrived at 10 am. I was starting to get super cold by then and was ready to get walking to generate some heat! It was really well signposted after docking and it was straight back to following the arrows. 👉There was a small amount of road walking, but also some amazing sections going through these back streets of small towns, which was so interesting to see! 🙏Thank you so much for following along with my Camino journey.
