[Link in description] This Fides Symphony trumpet has such cool modern lines! Check out that bell bend and ovate tuning slide. These horns are somewhat rare in the US (Fides is a Spanish company). It does have some cool features you don't see on many other horns. This is a pretty sweet playing trumpet, and very versatile! The bell bend looks a lot like a Lotus or AR Resonance bend, although this design may predate them. The tuning slide has a very pronounced ovated shape, and is unbraced. The mouthpiece receiver has some added mass, and the back brace is right up against the receiver. A bit heavier than a standard Bach trumpet but well balanced in the hands. You get some really great efficiency and energy transfer through the horn. Sound and response are very even throughout the range. The horn has some nice vibrance and spin to the sound. Even though it doesn't have a traditional look, it works great for classical playing. Of course it works nicely for commercial work as well! The horn definitely uses a CarolBrass valve block, I'm not sure where/how the rest of the instrument is assembled. Maybe some of my Spanish viewers can chime in with some more details.
