The stresses and strains of modern day life play a part, as may the things people eat and drink (or don't eat and drink), as may the room people sleep in and the bed. So sometimes these physical things need to be addressed. So often though, people get into the 'habit' of insomnia and seem to find it so hard to get rid of their insomnia problems. This is where hypnosis and NLP may play a useful role. It isn't really therapy for insomnia, it is not traditional psychotherapy for insomnia it is more like 'mind-training'. The training to end sleepless nights can take many forms and is so much more than simple tips to overcome insomnia. What we do is work with you to find out how you think about sleep, what you are 'expecting' will happen when you go to bed, what you are anticipating. Very often, someone will say things to themselves like this—--"I can't sleep, I just know I won't be able to get a good night's sleep again tonight. I never sleep well." So automatically, they are accidentally programming their mind and body to do insomnia and depriving themselves of the opportunity to enjoy a pleasant and comfortable sleep right through the night. Clearly, we tend to do this both consciously and also unconsciously. NLP and hypnosis can assist you at both conscious and unconscious levels. We can help you to change the way you think about sleep and when this happens you begin to change the way you feel about sleep. Using NLP methodology we work with you to consciously make changes to both the way you think and also the way you feel. We use hypnosis to help to resolve deal with the more automated, unconscious material... We will help you to will learn how just how to relax the conscious mind and also how to begin to create automatic unconscious habits that are more useful to you. We will work with you to help you to develop better patterns of sleep to help you to sleep whenever you want to. You can then utilise these trainings, strategies and attitude to cure insomnia and begin to sleep comfortably through the night again. The old responses are not related to intelligence. The responses are just conditioned responses. We aim to help you recondition these for good!
