LA Noire is a Dark & Violent Crime Thriller set in 1940's Los Angeles a few years after the end of World War 2. Rockstar Games released the game with 5 desks to work cases at. Desk such as Patrol, Traffic, Homicide, Vice, & Arson. There were 2 desks that were ultimately cut from the final release of LA Noire. Bunco (Fraud) and Burglary. In this video, I'm going to talk about the cut content as well as who your partner, Harold Caldwell, is for the duration of the 6 month period between Traffic & Homicide. Bunco, sometimes called Fraud, is a department in the LAPD. The desk was removed from the final game of L.A. Noire as stated in an interview with Team Bondi's Brendan McNamara. Bunco is mentioned in game during "The Set Up" case, they investigated and listed leads on bookmakers for Phelps and Earle. Its department is located at Wilshire Police Station. There is also evidence that it was going to exist in the game, but then taken out, next to the telephone in Central Police Station. It says LAPD Telephone Directory: Bunco 2803. You can easily read the phone directory in the case "The Studio Secretary Murder". Inside the Bunco division room at Wilshire Police Station is two detectives, one is Mickey Cohen in a grey suit the other being Harold Caldwell in a blue suit which is strange considering that they both have the same faces, body build and voices as the actual characters. Burglary is a department of the LAPD. The Desk was removed from the final game of L.A. Noire as stated in an interview with Team Bondi's Brendan McNamara. For a while it was believed this desk would be released as DLC, however Rockstar announced in February 2012 that no further DLC or content would be developed for L.A. Noire. Burglary, along with Bunco, were cut from the game due to Blu-Ray limitations. Cole Phelps worked this desk some time between working the Traffic Desk and the Homicide Desk, from comments made by captain James Donnelly when Cole first starts working the homicide desk. It can be assumed that when Phelps was working the Burglary Desk his partner was most likely Harold Caldwell. When Caldwell assists Phelps and Roy Earle in the Vice case "Manifest Destiny" about who was on the manifest, he and Phelps seem to get along together quite well and they are very friendly towards each other. However, during Phelps’ time during Homicide, there was a time Bekowsky was working in Burglary but was only there for a short time until The Naked City, where he was promoted to Homicide. There is still evidence of the Burglary desk in-game. Next to the telephone in Central Police Station, it says LAPD Telophone Directory: Burglary 2802. You can easily read the phone directory in the case "The Studio Secretary Murder". #lanoire #gta #rockstargames
