Today we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. In this inspiring homily, Fr. Pat, SDB, reflects on the unique dynamics of the home at Nazareth. He invites us to imagine St. Joseph’s daily life—protecting and providing for Jesus and Mary—and how his stoic, faithful presence is a model for all men today. Fr. Pat challenges us to see our own families as the "Domestic Church." He urges fathers to embrace their roles as leaders and protectors who lead their families in prayer and faith. A key takeaway from today's reflection is the importance of our words: Fr. Pat reminds us to "think before we speak," imagining that when we talk to our spouse, children, or parents, we are speaking directly to Christ Himself. If we want to heal a world in chaos, we must start at home. When our families are strong, unified, and Christ-centered, they become a light that can transform society.
