We Speak of the Realms | Songs and Everlasting Joy

This song is both an uplifting encouragement and a challenge. It is about speaking of heaven and its beauty and wonder. Looking forward to it daily. But there comes the challenge. Do we speak of heaven? Do we confess its glories? Do we joyfully go through trials as we know they are preparing us for that wonderful place? Do we want to see Jesus, Himself? I pray this beautiful hymn makes us think on heaven and think about wanting to be there. This old world is not our home. We are headed for a "city so holy and clean" where "no sorrow can breathe in the air." We are bound for a city where "no shadow of evil is there" and we can exist "in glory celestial and fair!" What a place! What a God, to put all of His power into providing salvation for us and preparing us for heaven. Praise the Lord! Thank you to the lovely subscriber who requested this song. We speak of its pathway of gold Its walls decked with jewels so rare, Its wonders and pleasures untold But what must it be to be there! We speak of its service of love, Of the robes which glorified wear, Of the church of the Firstborn above- But what must it be to be there!
