2025 - Piano Concerto, I Mov "Florian" - ORIGINAL COMPOSITIO - 2021 - Bryan Reyes

The first movement of my piano concerto. I started writing it in 2012 after a discussion with a Honduran poet, Edgardo Florian(RIP2021). This first movement has been named "Florian". The poet inspired me and motivated me to keep composing, I first wrote the entire movement during 2012. I also tried to improve it in 2016 and finally, between 2019 and 2020, I finished it. I added and changed some parts of the original cadenza as well in the ending. It has been a lot of hard work and I hope you can enjoy it. The brass section and percussion are reduced to a piano part. Update, Edgardo Florian just died earlier this 2021 and my heart breaks for his depart. I am wordless. Honduras once again, has failed us. My amazing friend, rest in peace. I want this piece to be a memory of his amazing ideas. He will live in this music and will be always in my memories, my music, my smile. Te extrañaremos mucho, poeta loco!
