The importance of document setup and how it can make a difference between an amateur and professional-looking score. To access the document setup window, go to the 'Layout' tab or use the hotkey 'ctrl' 'D'. This window allows users to change the page size, orientation, stave size, and margins. Page orientation should be kept vertical if possible, as horizontal layout can be awkward for musicians and cause louder page turns. Stave size is crucial for readability, with 7mm being a standard size for instrumental parts. Scores can have more flexible stave sizes, with 5.5mm to 4.5mm being a comfortable range.
