"Loop Calibrator or Signal Calibrator is a calibrator used by instrument technician to inject signal to circuit, transmiter or controller for troubleshooting or testing purpose. We should understand the terms of source mode, read mode and read mode before we use the loop calibrator to inject signal. If the loop calibrator switch is set to source mode, then the loop calibrator will power up and at the same time inject the signal to the whole loop. However, if the loop calibrator switch is set to simulate mode, then the loop calibrator will not power up the loop but it will inject the signal to the whole loop. The read mode is selected in the loop calibrator, then the signal calibrator will behave like a normal multimeter.
