Every month, over 48 million players imagine, build, and play together within immersive 3D worlds. Roblox uses both the open source Redis as well as Redis Labs Enterprise Cluster extensively, with over 400 Redis server instances in production use. As well as being users of Redis as a data store, Roblox introduced the use of Redis Pub/Sub as a core part of a real-time notification service to keep user clients up to date with the latest information. Redis Pub/Sub was then integrated at the heart of Roblox’s distributed caching system, relaying tens of millions of events every second.
