Make a Spoon Setting to Highlight a Stone: A Silversmithing Tutorial

This video shows how to make a setting to accentuate a faceted stone. The Green Tourmaline is a 5x10 mm teardrop shape with a deep pavilion. I used 14 (1.6 mm) and 16 gauge (1.3 mm) sterling round wire, 10 (2.6 mm), 12 (2 mm), 14 (1.6 mm) and 16 gauge (1.3 mm) sterling square wire, and 22 gauge (.66 mm) sterling sheet. As always, I use hard silver sheet solder and a liquid flux although I used a bit of easy paste solder at the end.
