The megalithic passage tomb of Knowth overlooks the Boyne River and consists of a large central mound surrounded by smaller mounds. Large decorated kerbstones outline the perimeter of the large mound and one of them, sometimes known as kerbstone 15 (or K15) has an enigmatic fan-like design on its face. This video will detail multiple possible calendrical interpretations of the stone and how they match up to astronomical data corresponding to declination values at the given intervals in the time periods in question. ⚙️ Turn up YouTube streaming quality to display labels more clearly. 🌓The Archaeoastronomy Database facilitates the gathering of crowd-sourced data relating to archaeoastronomy. 🏺 Link to the Database: http://www.exploreglobe.net/archaeoas... 💻 Archaeoastronomy Database on Facebook: / archastrodb 🌄 Please support our work to build a community for archaeoastronomy research as we improve the database and create video content dealing with possible alignment investigations, site information, and general astronomy/archaeoastronomy concepts.
