This hidden gems are a rare find and I'd like to share one of these treasures with you in the beautiful city of Vancouver. Enter Phnom Penh - a family run eatery that has been part of Vancouver's Chinatown community since the 80s serving up phenomenal South East Asian cuisine. But enough of the history, let's get to the food. Being the perennial winner of the place for the Best South East Asian Cuisine, there is always the perennial line up outside -- rain or shine. And why not? Extraordinary food, great value, and also an unforgettable dinning experience. What to order on your visit? While there are a few "must have" items, the suggestion is to be adventurous and order lots! -- Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Every dish has unique and deep flavored, it'll keep you wanting more. It's simply "yum yum pig's bum" -- as the saying goes. Suggested dishes would include: Fried Chicken Wings Beef Luk Luk (try it with a fried egg) Butter Beef (don't think there's butter in it, but the beef melts like butta) Lotus Shoots (a little known veg and an unassuming dish, but an amazing find -- must try) I know I must have missed many for those who have been there before -- please comment and add dished you find note worthy.
