I finally bought a Transition Spur! It’s been on my radar for a while now but we haven’t been a Transition dealer for very long so I was leaning towards this or the Smuggler but decided to go the lighter/shorter travel bike since I think it will be great for the Houston area. Not sure if I’d take it to any bike parks but at the same time, I’m old and not necessarily doing anything crazy anymore. My body can’t handle it! #bikingroots, #transitionbikes, #transitionspur The Spur has been around for about 4 years now as it kind of defined the Downcountry or All country category when it was released. It is perfect for those that still want the weight savings but also may break a lightweight XC race bike. When I had my Cannondale Scalpel it was super light but I also broke it and was afraid to push it hard. I feel like the Spur is a bike I can push more without fear of it snapping. In this stock NX build it tips the scales at just under 30lbs in medium setup tubeless. I do however have some plans for this bike so it won’t stay stock for very long!
