Please find this product at http://absupply.net. This video is to bring you a closer look at the Dorbin Copper Nails. This is used for holding on Dorbin's bronze weather stripping v-cushon style, spring bronze, hook strips, ect. The overall length is 1" (15/16"). The wire gauge is quite small. People have asked me if they should pre-drill holes through the weatherstripping and the wood frame itself and I've actually installed this both ways. The fact that this is a copper nail and not brass means that this is going to be something that you can actually nail more easily. If you use a very small drill bit (that's what I use) and pre-drill those holes ever so slightly, what I have found is that I don't have to use as much force in order to get the nail into the frame. I also make sure I pre-drill the architectural metal as well. It also depends on the wood frame and what you're drilling into. I myself don't want the weatherstripping to look like I've had to beat the nail into it and of course you run the risk of missing the nail because it has such a small head. What you're seeing is a 3oz bag and the price for the material here is sold by ounce. Usually about 65 to 70 nails. These are really only necessary if you're doing weatherstripping work, people like to have extra nails for other uses.
