People have asked me, what the wind glyphs are on the back of the light house. Well with the help of reddit user Waylaym, I was lead to this steam thread. The symbols are actually from a French book, La Horde du Contrevent. Which is written by DontNods co founder, Alain Damasio. The symbols represent different characters in the book, 23 to be exact. These symbols were used to show which character was narrating the book at the time. The book was about how the characters are on a quest to stop a magical wind that sometimes causes cyclones. The book featured things like the pages being counted backwards, instead of forwards. And having an accompanying sound track with the hard cover version. In the parking on there are license plates that reference the developer’s favorite tv shows. When you are walking up towards the light house, instead turn around a look off into the distance. Hello to you too! I can’t help but feel this is a reference to the eyes of god in The Great Gatsby.
