On July 17, 2008, Miller Andrés Blandón left his home in Neiva. The next day, he was reported as a false combat casualty in Isnos, Huila, after being killed by troops from the 27th Magdalena Infantry Battalion. Miller Andrés, who earned his living as a "Human Statue" on the streets of Neiva, was lured with false promises of work. After his disappearance, a small piece of paper with the phone numbers of his loved ones allowed them to recover his body. His story is just one of many documented by the JEP, which left deep traces of pain and deception on families in Huila. ___ The Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) is the judicial component of the Comprehensive System for Peace, created by the Final Peace Agreement signed by the National Government and the FARC-EP.
