Case study: Right frontal arteriovenous malformation (spetzler martin grade 3, Class B).

Patient Name: Alishba Hayat Age/Sex: 3 years / Female Case study: Right frontal arteriovenous malformation (spetzler martin grade 3, Class B). Consultant: Prof. Sandip Chatterjee This 3 years female child presented with sudden onset of headache vomiting left side weakness and seizure for last 3 days. On examination patient was drowsy and had eye opening at command had confused verbal response and could able to follow motor commands. Pupils were 2.5mm bilateral reacting to light. Patient had left side abducert nerve palsy and left side hemiplegia with Grade O power. Left side plantar response was extensor and patient had neck rigidity. CT scan Brain plain showed right frontal acute intracerebral hemorrhage. MRI Brain with MR angiogram showed right frontal AVM where bilateral A3 segment of ACA were draining to superior sagital sinus and internal cerebral vein through nidus. Right frontal craniotomy and excision of right frontal arteriovenous malformationwith help of Neuronavigation and perioperative digital subtraction angioplasty under GA on 15/02/2022. #neuroscience #neurosurgeryblog #neurology #neuro #neurodivergent
