Your AC drives (VFDs, variable frequency drives, VVFDs, VSD, etc.) are susceptible to failure if directly powered up after a long idle time be it because of repairing, storage, or transportation. This is due to the discharging of capacitors & an instant full supply to capacitors after a long time can cause capacitor damage. You can follow the procedure shown in the video to avoid such failures. Ideally, keep the VFD powered up for at least 6 hours before putting it on load after a long idle time. Tip: If you don't have a variable voltage source. You can connect single-phase supply to your three-phase VFDs for 2-4 hours before giving three phases & loading of the VFDs.
