But not all got quite that far. Some had to settle for a couple of Straight-to-VHS animated cartoon specials. One of those unfortunate few... was MADBALLS. The gross, disgusting, little foam balls that had a strange fascnination with 50ies rock and roll music! And on this Christmas season, the time of toys and presents, it's fun to look back at what kids considered the hot hip toy almost 40 years ago... and just how baffling it is.
