Delhi and parts of the National Capital Region, including Noida and Ghaziabad, remain submerged as the Yamuna River flows above the danger mark following days of heavy rainfall. At 8 am Friday, the water level at the Old Railway Bridge in Delhi stood at 207.31 meters, slightly down from Thursday’s season-high of 207.48 meters. Officials expect levels to recede further. The flooding has caused massive disruptions, including suspension of train traffic on the Old Yamuna Bridge and regulation of over 60 trains. Key areas like Monastery Market, Yamuna Bazaar, Kalindi Kunj, and Nigam Bodh Ghat remain waterlogged, while NDRF teams have been deployed for rescue and relief operations. Noida and Ghaziabad also witnessed severe waterlogging, with 55 families evacuated from a flood-hit village.
