Proprietary trading firms business is finding good traders and funding them so that they trade and make money for the firm. A proprietary trading firm will usually put limits or caps on its traders so as to limit the risk. They will interview traders and do their own due diligence but will also cap the risk with some restrictions and limitations on account size.
