It is May already, and its pilgrimage season to the Antipolo Cathedral or the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage in Antipolo. If you wish to commute, the quickest way as well as to avoid traffic is to use the light railway transits. If you are coming from the south, take the LRT1 from Dr. Santos or PITX and if you are coming from the north, take the LRT1 from Monumento, and head to Doroteo Jose station. From Doroteo Jose, walk through the connector to LRT2 Recto station, and from there, take the train to Antipolo station. When you arrive at the Antipolo station (which is located at SM Masinag), head straight to the front of the mall and look for Metro Comet Modern Jeepney bound for Pililla. This Modern Jeepney takes about 30 minutes to reach Antipolo (it makes a stop at a street about 500 meters from the church). When we arrived in Antipolo, we visited the cathedral, the new Museo de la Virgen, the old train station and Hinilugang Taktak. Of course, no visit to Antipolo is complete with getting pasalubong such as suman Antipolo, kasoy and coco jam.
