Improving feed mill efficiency and profitability

Rising energy costs, raw material quality and supply, inflation, and other challenges are making a dent in the efficiency of pelleted feed production. Dr. Adam Fahrenholz, Associate Professor in the Prestage Department of Poultry Science at North Carolina State University, will discuss the most appropriate methods to reduce costs and increase production efficiency in commercial feed mills and integrated operations. Dr. Adam Fahrenholz serves as an industry consultant, addressing continuous quality and process improvement in feed manufacturing facilities. His focus in both teaching and consulting is on the areas of feed manufacturing technology, regulatory compliance, and feed manufacturing process management. Dr. Fahrenholz teaches courses on feed milling technology, quality assurance, and facility and process management. He also oversees the operation of NC State’s Feed Mill Education Unit and its academic, research, and extension missions. The webinar will be hosted by Twan van Gerwe, Technical Director.
