Prokaryotic translation lecture 3 - This protein synthesis lecture explains about the translation initiation in prokaryotes. Translation starts off evolved with the binding of the small ribosomal subunit to a designated sequence on the mRNA chain. The small subunit binds via complementary base pairing between certainly one of its inside subunits and the ribosome binding web site, a series of about ten nucleotides on the mRNA placed at any place from 5 and eleven nucleotides from the initiating codon, AUG.
