Creating my favourite shade of white - Ivory White

Have you noticed that I use many different shades of white in my paintings? I use shades of whites to add contrast and highlights to my paintings. I find that pure white is a bit too harsh, as with most colors I like my colors a bit muted and muddy... and that is the way I like my whites as well. I use both cooler and warmer shades or tints. My favourite shades are Titan Buff and Ivory White and I use them a lot. Titan Buff is a yellow-grey shade that is quite common but the ivory white that I use is a bit harder to find in a tube. I love mixing colours. Not only does it save money, you get the exact shade you want and it is a unique blend to you - how amazing is that!!!
