Continuing the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K raw (BRAW 3:1) best vintage lenses test, we have the fantastic thrift store camera hauls-- the Helios 44-2 58mm 2.0 and the Jupiter-9 85mm 2.0. Both of these lenses are among the best that you can get for the money. The Helios 44-2 costing anywhere from $40-60 (I got mine for $20) and the Jupiter-9 costing anywhere from $60-90 (mine was $40). This was a test shoot for Aimee Sanders Makeup. The results were quite good. Both lenses performed spectacularly using a Metabones Speedbooster XL .64 on the BMPCC 4K. The Helios 44-2 and the Jupiter-9 both have a very dreamy cinematic quality to them that lends itself well to narrative and commercial work in my (very) humble opinion. I hope you enjoy!
