I've put together a short film showing some of the devastation Murwillumbah has endured from the major flooding occurring between the 28th of Feb and 1st of March 2022. It's heart breaking to think it was only 5 years ago we were hit with the flooding from Cyclone Debbie and faced such great loss, and now we're stuck with the effects of an even higher flood level that we never saw coming. It's going to be a rough few days ahead of us all as we pick up the pieces of our lives and an even longer time until we can get back to some normality. If you were lucky enough to be high and dry during this disaster, it goes without saying to give as much help and support to those who who need it during this recovery period. I know I've personally had so much care and support for Luke Northeast and I as my bedroom and Dad's shed were destroyed. The water came up 1.7m in my room and 1.85m in Dad's shed, which is 0.8m higher than the 2017 flood. Stay safe guys and good luck.
