Tim gabungan Resmob Polres Brebes dan Jatanras Polda Jateng berhasil meringkus dua tersangka, yaitu Endang Herman Riyadi (57) dan Irphan Teguh Mey Triyana (26), keduanya warga Kabupaten Kuningan, pada Selasa (12/11/2024). “Kedua tersangka ditangkap sehari setelah penemuan jenazah korban,” ungkap Kepala Satuan Reserse Kriminal (Satreskrim) Polres Brebes, AKP Resandro Hendriajati, dalam konferensi pers di Markas Polres Brebes, Rabu (13/11/2024). Resandro menjelaskan bahwa korban mengenal tersangka Endang Herman Riyadi. Tersangka dan keponakannya, Irphan Teguh Mey Triyana, mengajak korban pergi menggunakan mobil sewaan. “Di dalam mobil, pelaku mengeksekusi korban dengan menggunakan pisau yang sudah disiapkan,” kata Resandro. Setelah kejadian, jenazah korban dibuang di bawah jembatan usaha tani Desa Karangjunti pada Senin (11/11/2024). “Berdasarkan pengakuan kedua tersangka, mereka mengakui perbuatannya. Mereka sudah mempersiapkan semuanya. Motif pembunuhan ini adalah permasalahan utang-piutang antara salah satu tersangka dan korban,” tambah Resandro. Kedua tersangka saat ini ditahan di Markas Polres Brebes dan dijerat dengan pasal berlapis, yaitu Pasal 340 KUHPidana subsider Pasal 338 KUHPidana lebih subsider Pasal 181 KUHPidana dan atau Pasal 365 KUHPidana. “Ancaman hukumannya maksimal pidana mati atau pidana penjara seumur hidup,” pungkas Resandro.
