Hey Guys, I head off up into the top of the South Island to stay a night at the French Pass Doc Campsite! Me and my friends have a fun idea to stay a night in every South Island DOC site. Even those pesky water locked ones! I spent a bit of time up here, staying at a couple of DOC campsites and meeting up with some friends and family in the area. I have added some of the cool things I saw over that time period into this video. The sharks showed up while we were fishing through the Pass South of the Basin. I believe that they were Bronze Whalers/ Copper Shark. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper_... Signs at French Pass state do not throw fish remains/guts into the water at the boat ramp/wharf area to minimize contact with sharks in the camp area. Blue cod must be landed whole. Minimum size as at January 2024 33cm. 2 Blue cod per person, fish to be consumed before catching more.
