Please consider supporting me on Patreon:   / guymarsden   I found a surplus electric scooter motor rated at 600 W and replaced the motor on my Harbor freight mini mill with this powerful motor. One great feature is the emergency stop. And if you stall the motor, it shuts down. After it stalls, it will take 10 seconds before you can restart the motor. If you leave the speed knob turned up after you hit the stop button, the motor has holding torque until you turn the knob all the way down. Brushless 600 what DC motor. NOTE! AS OF AUGUST 2023 THEY ARE NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE! You may be able to find something similar if you search the web. Some people have found a similar motor and you will need a 24VDC 27 Amp power supply to power it.
