The Jain community is protesting against the Jharkhand government’s decision to declare Shri Sammed Shikharji as an eco-tourism spot. The protestors believe that this would imperil the Jain community’s historical sacred sites. They also protested against the Vandalisation of their temple in Gujarat's Palitana. They demanded a ban on illegal mining and sales of illicit liquor in Palitana in Gujarat, as the community considers the city a sacred place.
