Holly is the Snake goddess of serpents, The plant holly, fauna, land, medicine, luck, prophecy, war, blacksmith, wrath, and fertility. Leviathan is the fox and snake god foxes, justice, fortune, ocean, fishing, weather, trickery, and travel. Originally, Holly was the only god of the world and took on a different and more strong form to accommodate her persecution. But as her influence grew, people speculated there were two gods due to inconsistencies in Holly's form. One of a light blue flying serpent with heterchromia eyes. Another of a gain grey serpent that roamed the oceans and took down fleets. Due to this spread, Leviathan was made from the belief and Holly was stripped from half her powers. As Leviathan was starting to become worshipped, a thought of Leviathan and Holly being together was becoming popularised to their story. But unlike Leviathan, the two gods actually had a choice of how it would be done. Whether it had been put of power, convenience, peace, or actual love. It was only when during a tour of land with Holly was Leviathan fatally wounded. When a god is fatally wounded, they will go into a coma state for a long period of time to regain their strengths and would cause disharmony with the powers they did have becoming unusable or out of control. So Holly set off to find a herb able to reduce the time significantly to stable Leviathan. During his healing when he woke up from the medicine did Holly start to warm up to him and show affection. Same with Leviathan. Both gaining titles of God of Love and Goddess of resurrection during this but was rarely acknowledgment for that.
