   / @nenrikigaming   Kangaroo (Arcade version) “Kangaroo” is a platform arcade game that was brought to life by Sun Electronics in 1982 and made available to the public by Gifu Tokki and Sun Electronics. Although it wasn’t adapted for home gaming systems, it made its way to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 through Arcade Archives on July 16, 2020. In a nutshell This action-packed game involves guiding a boxing-glove-wearing mother kangaroo. Completing a round involves encountering a baby kangaroo. The game is structured around four rounds, which repeat in a loop after completion. The game controls consist of a four-direction lever and a single button. The lever controls "jumping" and "ducking" actions, while the button is used for launching attacks. As the game progresses, Tsuppari Kong makes an appearance. Losing to or colliding with Tsuppari Kong results in the loss of the boxing gloves, rendering the player unable to attack for a certain period of time. Ringing a bell in the game brings back collected fruit and increases the player’s score. The points awarded for collecting fruit increase in the sequence of 100→200→400→800. Rescuing a baby kangaroo adds the “BONUS” displayed on the top left to the player’s score. From the second round onwards, the intensity of the enemy’s attacks increases, and apples may occasionally fly at the middle stage. Plot Disaster strikes when a baby kangaroo is abducted by a troop of monkeys. Upon learning this, the mother kangaroo, armed with her impressive punching power and agility, ventures alone into the monkey kingdom to rescue her child.
