Bushmills is a small town on the north coast of Ireland - often a stop off point for tourists travelling the Causeway Coast - but it has its own history and claim to fame with the Old Bushmills Distillery. The Bushmills Distillery is the reason why the name of this small town always ring in the ears of those tourists coming to visit the place and might be even the reason why lots of them actually stop in this town to take in what it has and at the same time check this old place where the famous Bushmills whiskey is being produced. Bushmills is a village on the north coast of county Antrim, Northern Ireland, which is 60 miles away from the capital city Belfast. The name of this village or town came from a river that was called Bush and to a large watermill that was built back in the early 17th century - so it ended up being Bushmills; we always love those names which have reasons and stories behind them, it makes the whole place appear more interesting to be explored.
