CRES - Agrivoltaics: The Synergy of Agriculture & Clean Energy Generation Allison Jackson of the Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center will present on Agrivoltaics—the simultaneous use of land for both solar energy generation and agriculture. In this webinar, we will explore how agrivoltaic systems are transforming the way we think about land use, clean energy, and sustainable farming. This session will cover different configurations of agrivoltaic systems, a case study of Jack's Solar Garden, research results, and important partnerships, as well as some political considerations for increasing agrivoltaic adoption in Colorado. Whether you're involved in renewable energy, agriculture, sustainability, or policy, this webinar will provide valuable insights into one of the most promising innovations at the intersection of energy and food production. ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Allison Jackson is the Education and Policy Manager for the Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center. Allison has a Bachelor's degree in environmental science from Indiana University and a Master’s degree in secondary science education from Northwestern University. Allison then worked as an environmental consultant in Chicago and taught secondary science for 10 years. Her focus for the past three years has been to educate students and policymakers about the benefits of agrivoltaics and how it can be more widely accepted and adopted. The program was hosted by Peter Eberle, CRES Chair and CRES Program Manager. A question and answer session followed the presentation.
