What you should know about getting your ears pinned back! (Why, Cost, Recovery, and relapsing)

hey guys! I hope this video helps anyone that wants this surgery or that is currently in recovery. I have left a brief summary of what I said in the video below, please comment any questions you have down below! Before surgery: cost is as low as $3,000 and can be as high as $15,000 depending on where you live this is a normal surgery process so you will go into the surgery with an empty stomach, no nail polish, and no jewelry (your doctor will tell you everything you need to know before you go under)\ Recovery process: you will have some sort of headdress on during the first week of recovery meaning no showers for a week :( when you get home from surgery you will be very nauseas and dizzy so be prepared for that you will need entertainment because you will be stuck in bed for 6-7 days you are going to have to sleep at a 45 degree angle (it is a pain but you have to do it for better blood flow) for the first 2-3 days you will not be able to do much (the most would be going to the washroom) Advil, pain meds, liquids, and cold things will be your best friend for the first few days. Personally I found the pain bearable and didn't really take any pain medication other then when I went to sleep. After the first week: for 6-8 weeks after you get your headdress off you will need to wear a headband. This is to protect your ears, but also keeping them from relapsing. I also recommend getting head bands with buttons on the sides if you want to wear masks. for the first week with the head band you can start taking showers again! personally I took one the first night I got the head dress off. I wouldn't recommend cleaning your ears much for the first week because your ears will most likely still be healing although your surgeon will tell you more on that. Relapsing: relapsing is when your ears return to the state they were before the surgery, however they most likely wont go back completely THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO EVERYONE!! chances are this may not happen to you so don't worry about it its not your fault if relapsing does happen, chances are you couldn't have prevented it, just be cautious for the first few weeks and you should be fine. I also think this happened to me because I wore masks around my ears after I took the headband off, so maybe don't do that (this is just a theory though) FOLLOW MY OTHER SOCIALS: Insta: Imoliviahage Tiktok: Imoliviahage *disclaimer: in no way am I bragging about getting this surgery, I simply am just trying to share information on this topic. I would also like to mention, everyone will go through a different experience when going through this process so you may not experience the same things that I did.
