With profound devotion, the precious Holy Relics — the cremated sacred remains of Venerable Lama Rinpoche — were taken on a sacred pilgrimage, fulfilling Rinpoche’s final wishes and praying for his swift and perfect rebirth. Now we have reached the sacred lands of Nalanda University and Rajgir, places deeply connected to the Buddha and the great masters of the Dharma. Nalanda Mahavihara was the world’s greatest ancient Buddhist university, where countless scholars and panditas studied and taught the Buddha’s profound teachings, including masters such as Nagarjuna and Atisha. Rajgir (Rajagriha)-vulture peak was one of the Buddha’s main residences. Lord Buddha gave the Second Turning of the Wheel of Dharma.” Lord Buddha gave many important teachings, including teachings on Vulture Peak (Gridhrakuta), and where the First Buddhist Council was held after the Buddha’s Parinirvana.
