3D printed wheel center caps are actually a pretty easy custom design project! While some part designs would normally take a bunch of measurements and likely a 3D scanner, this typically just involves a few cylinder alignments and a few approximate cuts to make the retainer tabs. If you do your own automotive repairs and have a 3D printer, custom wheel center caps are a great project for all 3D printing skill levels! In this video, Steve shows you the process that's involved in designing and testing a custom 3D-printed car part, which should help you design your own. Note that this video doesn't go over material and printer settings, since that will have to be tuned based on your particular 3D printer, filament, and other factors.
