Limited Incision Necklift Dr Nguyen. I'd like to talk to you about a very common procedure at my office. I call it the limited incision neck lift and it's designed to remove that heavy double chin appearance to the neck and chin area through a small incision underneath the neck about 2 cm long. Using that incision, I liposuction the entire jawline and the neck region here. In addition to that, I directly excise the supplemental fat pad. And so what is that? Well, it's a very dense zone of fat that you typically cannot liposuction out. I demonstrate this all the time in the OR when I remove it. You cannot push the cannula through it much less suction fat out of it. So to really get that very sharp angle to the neck and jawline, you really need to remove the supplemental fat pad. And you can see an example of that here. Here we see a patient that has an illdefined jawline and neck area due to the supplemental fat. We're in surgery here with some tumescent fluid already infused. And immediately after surgery, you can see the remarkable difference already. One week later, a sharper angle to the chin and neck and a more defined jawline. What a remarkable improvement for our young patient here.
