NZ Basic Fishing | Freshwater | Targeting Redfin Perch on Softbaits

Hello and welcome again to another video of Basic Fishing. In this video, I decided to head down to one of the lakes at the Waikato and since the Waikato River was flooded as well as water conditions making it questionable to fish, I decided to try something else since trout fishing wasn’t going to be easy with the high water levels. In this video, my objective was to target the English Redfin Perch using softbaits. This was my first proper time using softbaits and I looked forward to using this different method to try and catch some fish with it and this was my first proper session on targeting just the perch as well. Unlike the trips I made to Lake Pupuke, this was no doubt my best session on redfin perch fishing and I had so much fun and I also managed to hook onto some decent sized perch too. The softbaits I was using were non-scented so if you wish to use softbaits that only allows non-scented, the ones I was using are ideal softbaits to use for those waters. Hope to target and hook into some big trout with the softbaits the next time I plan to do some trout fishing.
