Four friends - one shared adventure: In May/June 2025, we traveled through central Slovakia - once again in search of medieval placer gold mining sites. Among mossy stone heaps and silent creeks, we experienced history up close, encountered old legends, and dreamed about one big question: Were the Romans once searching for gold here? Our journey took us to the most significant gold locations in the Slovak Ore Mountains and the Low Tatras, from Kremnica through Magurka to Malinová. We discovered impressive landscapes, unsolved mysteries of the past, and experienced true companionship, joy, and quite a few surprises.
