Jim Henson’s Labyrinth (1986) is heavily inspired by The Wizard of Oz, but may be intended to be set in the same universe, with Labyrinth drawing its setting from a line in the song “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead.” Join me as we explore the striking similarities between these two stories and the making of these movies, as well as their connections to Greek mythology and how a certain little red monster from Sesame Street comes into play!
