Celle de Bobbie s’inscrit dans la lignée des grandes qu’elle admire depuis l’enfance, Joni Mitchell et Dolly Parton en tête. Bobbie grandit à un train de la capitale française, mais c’est aux Etats-Unis qu’elle puise ses inspirations musicales, bercée par les vinyles blues et soul hérités de son père. Son premier album, 11 chansons ciselées pour viser droit au coeur, sonne comme un classique de la folk americana. Bobbie y retrace l’itinéraire intime et mélancolique vers son rêve, à la manière d’un road movie : le deuil de son père lorsqu’elle est enfant, qui se rejoue et teinte sa vie amoureuse, le courage de quitter les eaux troubles et de s’émanciper pour s’autoriser à suivre son étoile. Bobbie’s is in the line of famous singers she has admired since childhood, such as Joni Mitchell and Dolly Parton. Bobbie grew up on a train in the French capital, but it was in the United States that she drew her musical inspirations, rocked by the blues and soul vinyls inherited from her father. His first album, 11 songs carved to the heart, sounds like a classic of folk americana. Bobbie retraces the intimate and melancholy journey to her dream, like a road movie: the mourning of her father as a child, who replays and colors her love life, the courage to leave troubled waters and emancipate to allow herself to follow her star. The organ, pedal steel or gospel choirs arrange the album in the tradition of the genre and dress it up with nostalgia, a central theme that inspires the title song of the album: «The Sacred in the Ordinary» or the art of finding again, as in a childhood tea party at his grand-mother, the sacred in ordinairy.
